I was raised Catholic but confirmed Lutheran(my mom dropped Catholicism after my grandma died) and have been identified as such ever since. DH was raised Baptist and thinks my Lutheran services are boring(lolsies). In Chicago we went to a Lutheran church with a "contemporary" service. We're going to try out a couple places here but there's a non-denom that is very welcoming and active in the LGBT community that I'm really hoping works out.

You should join an Amish church and learn to make me some delicious pretzels and beautiful handcrafted quilts.

And maybe you could ask them to stop running puppy mills.

The Amish are big on puppy mills too!?  I did not know this.

I don't want to be on MSNBC, yo.

Yeah... a bunch of them got arrested a few years ago for the terrible conditions they keep the animals in.

They believe that God created animals for the use of humans, or something. So they don't feel that the neglect is abuse if it is keeping food on the table for their families. It's terrible.

I do know they treat their horses like crap. I'm always shocked when we go visit my ILs. Hadn't heard about the puppies though, that's sad.

None.  Maybe Agnostic, but I'm even iffy on that.
That's pretty damn funny.  I don't know if it was intentional, though.

I was raised mainline protestant.  Baptised methodist, confirmed presbyterian.

After years of never really believing it but trying to, I'm now an out atheist.

    Yes, religion makes me giggle.

    Sorry, no offense meant, really.

    Shot first, questions later.

Truth. We once caught one of their horses because they had put the lead rope under a cinder block, horse got spooked and pulled the rope out from under said cinder block and ran down by my ILs where we were fishing. And they always have puppies for sale. Ew.
