Re: !!!Commence the panicking!!! (mod announcement)
Oh, did you all know that The Bump DOES have a smart phone app?
However, in true Nest/Bump fashion, it does not connect AT ALL to the Bump website. It's called Pregnancy Buzz by The Bump. It has its own separate forum.
See my siggy for the FAQs.
Lmao. This sums it up nicely!
Uncheck the box? Doesn't that work? (not said snarkily, just wondering because I can check and uncheck it.)
All I know is TN/TB needs to hire some programmers and designers who were born, like, in the last quarter century or so, and know WTH they are doing. With each change it gets worse and worse, they make it harder to post from a phone which is what so many people want to do nowadays. They are losing business to Facebook groups, I hope they realize this. I've seen free UltimateBB boards that work better than this shizz.
And apparently they did not get the memo that you generally make major changes to your website on days when the traffic is the LOWEST, i.e. the middle of the night between Saturday and Sunday, so that when they inevitably eff it up, it bothers the fewest number of people possible.
I don't think so. It's like the Rapture all over again. So disappointing.

<a href="http://www.thenest.com/?utm_source=ticker&utm_medium=HTML&utm_campaign=tickers" title="Home DI wish they'd hire Casey from Ravelry to do the boards here--the Rav boards are a little too puppies & rainbows for me post-wise, but the functionality is great. Notifications when you have a direct response to your post or comment, takes you to the last post you read when you open a thread, anonymous agree/disagree buttons.
On Sunday my H couldn't find me and said he thought the Rapture had taken me. He said he was seriously pissed that he suffered through a lifetime of Catholic abuse only to have his heathen wife get a free ticket.
I know, right? I came on this morning full of trepidation about the impending change, and..........nothing.
I didn't even read your post. I just want to snuggle your baby girl!!
Pixy, I don't see anything in your FAQs about jump to last reply? If I remember correctly, there are less posts/page, so that's kind of a majorly important feature.
Unless the Nest has some kind of deal with AT&T to make me load 11 pages to see one new post.
Great. Now I'm a liar. ::shakes fist at TN::
As far as jumping to last post, I don't think they have that in the new format. If I'm remembering correctly it was something they integrated later with this format.
If it's the same format as the local nest boards there are two little arrows in the right upper corner of the thread for which way you want them sorted.
Also I didn't figure it would really happen. My BMB mod told us about a month ago it was for sure happening one night and then it didn't.
If this is true, it seems so user-unfriendly that I almost have to believe it was intentional. I wonder if they don't want us to skip forward so that we're forced to see X pages worth of ads.
Or perhaps the new format is so poorly designed that they simply can't set it up like that, at least for now. Based upon what H tells me from the computer folks he works with at various companies, I can totally believe it would be the result of piss-poor design.
Aw thanks!
