NC Pastor Tells Parents to Crack Wrists, Punch Effeminate Children
Re: NC Pastor Tells Parents to Crack Wrists, Punch Effeminate Children
And while we are at it, one of my favorite loving hippie Jesus quotes:
Matthew 10:34 "I come not to bring peace, but to bring a sword"
This is why, when evangelists come to my door, I answer it with my broadsword, and wait for their pitch. Because I don't agree with them - and I interpret that passage to mean "kill anyone who disagrees" and of course, as I have been told in so many ways by so many christians who are right, individual interpretation trumps EVERYTHING. And obviously, I am right.
Thank you, my favorite Bartlett monologe
Thats like saying if you read a novel and the beginning is different than the ending, you can't believe them both. The Bible is set up in chronological stories, Christ being at the end, and whom we are told to follow, not anything before him (old testament). The beginning of any story is essential as it sets everything up for the main plot, but it's not the main focus. do I believe what was written in the OT was the way things were back then? Absolutely. But the New Testament is what Christians follow, as understandably, Christ is the core of Christianity an d we are told to follow him, not former laws.
And to the poster who spoke of hating your family, in context, it is referring to Christ calling people to love and follow him above family. That doesn't mean you can't be married...not sure where you got that..keep trying.
If you believe in god, then you must believe he wrote the entire bible and if he wrote the entire bible you must follow the entire bible. You don't get to pick and choose which pieces you are going to follow.
