Re: SA Wednesday
I'm a little lost, but I'm going to try and catch up on older posts this weekend.
Our trip was great, the wedding was wonderful although Irene pushed it inside, and ended it a little early. Our plans for the shore were cut to 24 hours due to the casinos closing for Irene, but I still had a great time!

I'm also very confused as to what everyone's talking about.
I have to tell y'all about this dream I had last week. I was pregnant, and DH and I were working on the nursery. I was telling him where I wanted the furniture and he was moving it for me. Then, I bumped my belly into something and it cracked a hole in it, like an egg. Through the hole I could see the baby looking at me, I could see one bright blue eye with long eyelashes. I was obviously very concerned but the doctor told me it was fine and to continue on as normal. So I had to finish out the pregnancy with the baby looking at me through a hole in my belly. So weird.
Ok, I just spent 15 minutes on TK and still have nothing, so I am going to assume it has nothing to do with me and has plenty to do with the same drama that always seems to stir itself up and all that that implies.
This weekend is the first weekend of dove season, so we are visiting my grandparents in West Texas so DH can hunt to his little heart's content. I also plan to do long runs early Saturday and Monday mornings to take advantage of the low 70's to high 60's temps!
Something new to stir pots and insight flames:
I am taking a Women's and Gender Studies class right now and we talked about transgendered people and I brought up Chaz Bono, who was announced to be on DWTS a few days ago. There has been some serious uproar from viewers about "that kind of lifestyle" being featured so prominently on TV on a "family" show. This angers me as the women are allowed to wear super-revealing outfits and it's cool but lord-forbid if a transman is allowed on the show!
Facepalm moment of the day from FB. This gem was posted in response to someone talking about hitting the gym up.
"That's awesome. I'm glad your doing something somewhere. I love the gym to. My trainers are bad ace. And all the people that work out are really cool and nice to everyone, and there jacked."
I want to comment all over this but it literally pains me. It's my 3 top grammar pet peeves in one comment. Nevermind the poor sentence structure.

I thought it was kind of hilarious when Kathy Lee and Hoda were talking about this and Kathy Lee says "and Chaz will have a female dancing partner." I thought, well duh, he's a man, and ballroom dancing is traditionally done with a man and a woman!
Brianna! Gotta luv the grammer!
You just reminded me of something that happened on FB yesterday I wanted to share with you all for a laugh.
Person A posted: I have a friend on FB that posts picture of her cat. Problem 1. It's one of those creepy bald cat creatures (90yr old g-ma cat, saggy skin <I'm going to vomit>) and 2. It's a f-ing cat! I am going to tell her to either stop posting pics of "it" or I am going to unfriend. Or I am going to leave her front door open next time I come over. "go play in the street kitty". <-- Multiple problems solved with that solution.
Person B (not the person that was referenced in previous status) posted back: And children are under developed humans that *** and piss in their pants (in your house and in public and in other peoples' houses and in cars and pretty much everywhere else) that make a disgusting amount of noise and that annoy most everyone who hasn't procreated and many people who have...but I don't think cat people have asked you (or will ever ask you, or SHOULD ever ask you) to not post pictures of your daughter.... Also you could learn to use the right form of homonyms in your statuses, your post about Kim Kardashian's wedding (the sentiment of which I agreed with, by the way) used the wrong form of "effect/affect". I'll un-friend you now and save you the trouble.
I did the slow clap for person B.
I need to befriend person B. Also, person B would have scored higher if they had suggested that they would leave the front door open the next time they were taking care of person A's child. That might be going too far but.....
As to people being in an uproar about Chaz: I don't really care, I don't have a problem with it but remember that people called in death threats about Bristol Palin being on there so it doesn't surprise me at all. Kellie Raspberry did have a decent point that this is a show that is watched by an older generation for the most part and some of these things they just don't want to talk about.
The 16 year old came in with a bwue bawwoon and asked if she could play with it. I said no. She did it any ways and I told her to put it up or I'd pop it.
BTW, Brianna, welcome to the club of not being friends on FB! It's pretty prestigious. We have meetings. And a secret handshake.
There. My snarky comment for the day.
Oh that's right.... I remember getting defriended too. Just because I was friends with you, de-friend by association I guess.
I'm going to apologize right now if I ever used incorrect spelling or grammar in a past post, as well as any future posts. I suck at spelling, and I usually know the difference in your/you're, their/they're/there, etc but sometimes I'm typing these quickly and I will type the wrong one by accident. Please don't hate on me!

So I'm about to head in to my annual review. A month ago I was looking forward to it; that was before the higher ups decided that in lieu of merit increases (which we finally could get after 2 years of no eligibility), we were only getting paid out our annual bonuses (AND those were only 70% of what we were getting.) So my review could be stellar today and I couldn't care less about whatever they have to say about my performance.
Blah.
I'm not so good with the advice... Can I interest you in a sarcastic comment?
I am completely for a confessions, AYG, or FFF day maybe once a month?
I am a PW because I miss you girls in the morning and have to cram all of my Nesting into my three hour work day!
Because I am El-Nerdo Deluxe, I have been really curious about how far the walk from my usual parking to my class is each time. So like a huge loser, I wore my Garmin this morning and the walk from my car to my class was .35 miles. I walk this at least four times each day, so that's an additional 1.4 miles added into my normal routine.
Oh. My. Love.
I have to share this now that you've told us this...

I see I have missed a lot today :-p
Brianna, that whole thing is just ridiculous. I like that you are making your own site now! :-)
I would be up for a day to vent every once in a while. Sometimes I could certainly use it.
So my brother told us last night he is considering joining the peace corps. I have very mixed feelings about this :-/

On the topic of crazy facebook posts: Being the nerd that I am, I read Tech Crunch almost daily. Check out this article:

Background is that Google bough a company Slide a year or so ago and killed the company (along with all of their social games) last week. There is a whole slew of ladies that are PO'd. The article has a lot of comments from a previous article, but if you scroll to the bottom you see the real-time feed of comments. Wow, just wow.

Those pets in that picture are so cute it makes me want to join them in saving those little sheep. I love how all of the comments start with some variation of "We will not go quietly!" I love the internet.
I think my brother wants to go to a country in Africa. I just worry about him because I am afraid of where he would end up or that something would happen to him :-/ He is at least going to finish college, so he wouldn't go until maybe next June, so I am hoping he will at least give it some more thought and change his mind. If it's what he REALLY wants to do, I want to be supportive :-/

I can't believe people actually spend money on those games...

That is amazing!!!
Also - some days I read things on TN and TB and think as my response to someone "You are stupid." or I think of about a million snarky responses.
I sometimes wish I was 0.5% of the B I am in my head in real life. It might elevate me from my current status of door mat to pleasing floral wreath hanging on the door.
I am nearly in the floor laughing!!!!!!
Although, I feel the same way. I don't think I'm quite a door mat status....but certainly not the pleasing floral wreath I aspire to be. Haha.
Wow! How could you spend thousands on a game? Oh guy is threating to attack google. Can't they just leave the game alone? I wouldn't think it would be worth the trouble these people want to cause.
