Re: Whatever Friday
Same. I never wanted children at ALL. Then I had Jack. Didn't want anymore until all of a sudden I DID want another. Your mood about babies can really change overnight.
I was just Googling for an image of a UT birthday card to put on my granddad's FB wall and stumbled across these:
I mean seriously - nothing says Happy Anniversary! or I'm Sorry for Your Loss like a UT card! I am a fan but this is even too much for me.
I think I threw up a little in my mouth.

This. I love it though! I read through the whole help section so I'd know how to do it. I have a whole folder on my computer at home of pictures I've saved from around the web - I want them to be on my pintrest boards also! I would upload them, but I'm nervous about that since they aren't my photos - I don't want to be a photo-stealer.
I just got the new Pier 1 catalog, and I really want this chair now:

But I'm pretty sure it would be ruined in less than a day by our dogs. I really want to be able to have nice stuff and actually decorate for once.
Angela- I know what you mean! Everytime I want to buy something for the house I have to consider if the dogs would be able to tear it up or not :-/ I love them, but I wish they would behave a little better! :-)
I love pinterest still! :-) I spend way too much time on there!
Brianna- this may be a dumb question...but what exactly is scentsy? I seriously have no idea :-/

I threw up a whole lot. :-D
It's not so much about time as it is about I seriously have a baby phobia. I really like kids (not the randoms screaming across the supermarket, but the kids I know) ...but babies are a different story.
I don't think I've ever even held one. Scary. I've never even really been around a baby and the rare time that I have I just look from a distance.
It's warmers with REALLY YUMMY smelling waxes...

Are they very expensive? I need some of those haha. :-p

Thanks!! My photog's pretty awesome.
While I loved babies when I was in the single digits, I have not been around them much since then and I generally try to stay away from them when I am around them. We were visiting my friend once and I volunteered to take their 5 month old to his parents so they didn't have to because they were needing to go in the opposite direction and we were headed there anyways. After a weekend being around the baby I told DH that I didn't know how I felt about babies that young; he said we could just aim towards adopting one that is a bit older and not necessarily a newborn.
We all know how I feel about babies.
I was going to make a separate post to talk about this but then decided not to. I was listening to a talk channel on Sirius earlier and the people on the channel were saying that it took them four times as long to get to work in Manhattan this morning because they are stopping cars on the bridges and all over NYC to check for bombs. This "credible but unconfirmed threat" has me a little on edge.
I'm going to make my rare "negative" comment about children.
They grow SO FREAKING FAST.
Dorothy's clothes cost us a fortune, and the kid doesn't wear designer. She just grows so fast that we're shopping for new clothes every 2 months.
Luckily, the Old Navy Baby Sale started today, and I just got 3 dresses, two coats, three pairs of jeans, and five shirts for $115. And they're all super cute. Fall shopping done.
I don't know what this is and I don't want to find out.

Just do it!
Well, the full size warmers are about $30 and the scents are 3 for $14. But you can buy the "close out" warmers for $24. It's a little expensive (depends on your definition of expensive) to buy the warmers initially, but after that, it's not bad at all. And the scents last a long time!

I know "they" say to keep your normal life and don't not do things because you are scared, otherwise the terrorists win but to be honest I would have a really hard time leading my normal life during this time if I was a frequent traveler or lived in any of those cities they had in a list as most likely to be threatened.
See, I kind of disagree. I think the people in the obvious places are actually the safest. It is the rest of us who don't quite know what's next.
I read the comment about dipped cake balls and became incredibly hungry and so, so sad that I am missing book club tomorrow.
Then I saw all those UT cards and completely lost my appetite.
I agree with you; the likelihood of something happening to you a second time (I am thinking of having your house robbed) is slim. But I would still be worried.
The Big Bang Theory is taking over the TV. It has pretty much replaced The Office on TBS. As much as I love TBBT, I'll miss The Office.
I'm listening to Unbroken on audio and the grandfather from Gilmore Girls is the narrator and every time he says Pillsbury, their "mascot" pops in my head.
I know kinda sorta what it is, but no idea how it all works. I was on there last night just looking at all the pics. LOL It's so addicting and I'm sure if I join it will be even more addicting!!
