::pity party warning:
I am so glad I'm WFH today. I'm a hot mess.
I should be going home for Christmas with my family. My parents picked up my neice this weekend for my brother... he has her for 3 weeks. I haven't seen her since early summer and don't know when I'll see her again. Mom sent some pictures they took after church yesterday and it just got me all super sad and teary.
I hate living so far away, hate that I can't travel, hate that my brother doesnt have the ability to come here for Christmas. Just hate it all.
Sorry. ((hugs))
((hugs))
I am in the training class from hell. It started at 3 on Sunday, and we're going every day from 8a-6p. Plus, we have two dinners out, and today they gave us an hour of "home work." The facilitator is a b!tch and not only do I have this, but I also have my regular 8-5 stuff that isn't being done by someone else now.
I said last night that I wouldn't drink tonight or tomorrow. I just picked up a 6 pack of Shiner at Target.
Plus, it doesn't help that I'd just rather be home with my boy.
I am just posting something b/c KrisB's was the 666th post and it was freaking me out. ;-)
You would think after a vaginal birth 2 weeks ago (including having stitches in my hooha), the most sore thing wouldn't be my arm from the DTaP shot I got in the hospital! :-S
It was freaking me out too...
I wish The Nest had a "like" feature. I find myself wanting to like posts.
Maybe plan to send out New Years cards instead? That should give you some more time so you don't feel rushed, and may get you in the mood to at least send some New Year's cheer! :-)
I couldn't get my act - or L's - together for Christmas cards this year. And with every cute Christmas card I open, I feel a little worse about it.
I'm even disappointed in the grandparents' canvases But it was the best picture I had. Why can't she sit still and look pretty like a slice of cake? I don't know how you pros do it. It's a gift, no doubt.
So true. Evan won't sit still for a second and if you can get him to smile he is twisting his headaround and being silly while yelling "cheeeeeeeeeeese." It is adorable, but we can't get a decent picture of him.
I want to get pro pics of him for his second birthday, but the photographer will probably need to shoot with the same speed as a sports photographer.
Dx: PCOS and short luteal phase
18 cycles (3 with our RE) - Metformin + Clomid + HCG booster did the trick!

This is my last week at work for the year, and then I am on vacation until January 3rd. I am so excited! I am also not motivated at all. I just wanna get through this week and not worry about email, deadlines, budgets, estimates, etc for a solid two weeks.
I am just going through the motions this week and I am sure my boss knows it. Then again, I know she is too.
Hoping to have a better attitude and renewed spirit when I get back to work in 2012.

Yep, we got good family photos but not really any good ones of JUST Cooper. He won't sit still unless one of us is holding him down. LOL That was with a pro though, myself personally, I don't even try. I haven't tried to take anything other than video of him in a year. When I bother to get out the good video camera we can capture stills off of it which is nice, but 99% of the time I just shoot video clips with my phone. Bad mommy.
Crazy Christmas Kids!
You & SPM can have red wine date nights.
my love of red wine kills my wallet
How do you know we don't already?
Tell me bout it!!!
I always say this to myself to the tune of Rod Stewart's Infatuation. Works perfectly
LOVE
LOL This is usually me but today I've been sooooooo good. I'm exhausted though and I just want to be done. Someone please send a magic fairy to my office to help me. PLEASE???!
I'm having a small cookie exchange tonight. The one person who was coming that I didn't know very well is sick and cancelled. So beyond mopping I've justified not doing much else in the clean to impress department. I'm laying on the couch watching love actually instead.
Here is the secret to how the pros photograph little kids:
You ready for this? It will blow your mind.
We aren't their parents ; )
Seriously, I'm pretty sure this is half the battle. Since I'm "new" and they don't know my boundaries, they're far more likely to follow my directions. They haven't learned to tune my voice out until we've been together about 30 minutes, lol.
And I actually do shoot with similar lens speeds to sports photographers.
For most of my family shoots with small children, I have "entertainment assistants". They're flipping awesome.

I hate when you put your hand on your chin and discover a new whisker.
This is why I carry tweezers in my purse.
