Say It Again...Say Anything.
Re: Say It Again...Say Anything.
That's awesome! You should AW about it
We drove past the elementary school last night and Tori was all excited that it will be her school in a few months. I told her that I wasn't ready for her to go to big school and she informed me that she had to so that she could be a grown up one day.
If she only knew how overrated being a gown up really is.
I am about to make a 5 hour drive with one hellishly cranky toddler. If we could bail out at the last minute, I would have the bags unpacked in seconds.
I would like to let him nap, play and then leave later this evening with the aim of him sleeping. DH is just ready to get there (his parents) so he wants to try to hold off nap time in hopes that he naps in the car. I'm deathly afraid that will backfire, and C will boycott it completely. And if he does, I will say "I told you so." Right after I make him stop so that I can pound a few shots. :-)
Thankfully my SB is still here and they are playing in the yard now.
I am with you on that one. Big time
At least there will be a big group of us starting all together. We can all cry together
I know...our three, CindyandScott's, IMFun's, Retsub's, Ering's...I am sure there are more...
Rayskit10, Aprilprincess, Kateaggie, M&M (But I think she is home schooling)
Yes, I knew I was forgetting some! I think we need a "holy crap, our babies are going to the big school and we need wine GTG".
Me too.
And apparently the upper management team of our company is full of them.
I got my official offer letter for the technical writing position today. Not only is it less than I was originally told, it's less than I make now (when they guaranteed us that no one would take a pay cut during the transition to new departments since development of our product is stopping). It's also less than I made when I originally started here 3 years ago. (not by much... but less is less). I'm horribly horribly horribly upset. I get the reasoning supposedly behind it, but the situation will be the same no matter what department I go to with the exception of development; I will still have a higher salary than most of the people in the department because I'm at the top of the food chain in my current department. If you told us that wouldn't be an issue, then ... It shouldn't be an issue, but they're making it one.
UGH!
That just stinks!
that is terrible!!
yup, we go to open house for her school next thursday and register a week after that.
My brother sent G a present that UPS shows was delivered on 12/22. I think one of my neighbors took it, and I'm so sad. I know they don't like us here (we've got two kids and two dogs in an old apartment building, we make a lot of noise), but the fact that someone took my kids Christmas present makes me so angry and sad.
It wasn't even anything super awesome or expensive. It was an OtterBox for his iPod touch.
My and MissJake's Madelines start Kindergarten this fall too!
Kimmer - that sucks; have you told the carrier that you never got it?

L can't say bubbles. Well she can, but you have to make eye contact with her and coach her: BUB. BLES. And then she says it perfectly.
But when she sees a cheapy display of bubble bottles at HEB, she loses it and screams it the "other" way, at the top of her lungs: BUSSY! BUSSY! BUSSY!
As in, rhymes with pu-sy. Which is exactly what people thought she was screaming.
And Cinco Ranch HEB shoppers - you're welcome for the urban legend of a story.
My Godson & his momma could use some prayers this morning. He has been diagnosed with Fragile X syndrome, they're putting him under this morning for an MRI & EKG. I know the little guy is scacred, he is only 5. And his momma is obviously having a hard time with all of this.
Lots of prayers for them.
Ditto. How scary for them both!
ETA: would you mind sharing just first names? (you can email if you'd like) I'd like to add them to our Prayer List at church.
you got it.
Lots of prayers for them.
Done.
I saw a guy on the monorail going to magic kingdom today. Mom looked normal. LV bag, ray bans, pretty. Little kid, well behaved, 6-ish, ray bans...lol.
The dad was very Russian sounding, super shaggy hair, ray bans, and a trucker hat that said " MY LOVE IS V.I.P. ROOM". Black playboy tee with an afro'd playboy model whose midsection was covered by the bunny emblem.
That is absolutely the perfect ensemble for the magic kingdom, isn't it?
my photography blog
After 2 days at Disney I was no longer shocked by what ANYONE was wearing.

there is a people of disney website similar to the walmart one. some pictures are hilarious, but some make fun of kids or people who possibly have a disability. they could have changed it, I only looked once. But there needs to be a good website like that out there, there's some crazy stuff there.
I remember that one! People of the Park!
And it looks like it has been taken down.
