Re: Three bored nesties
True story!
How wonderful!! I can't wait to hear all about your trip!
I miss Desert Snow.
You're all unpacked????
Somewhat.
We still have half empty boxes laying around.
I'm not looking forward to going over & cleaning the "other" house.
ew. no. I wouldn't think so.
Just to clarify a little bit... Fiesty you WERE included on the evite list for my going away party. If you'd like I can do a screenshot of the guest list to show you. You never bothered to RSVP or even view the invitation, even after making a huge stink about not being invited (which personally I thought was odd, because it was my going away party and we've never even come close to meeting or even conversing via email. I've exchanged numerous emails with Michelle, which is why I didn't think it was odd that she wanted to come).
I have no idea what happened with the Secret Santa thing, but I find it hard to believe that you were singled out. It worked for 50 some odd nesties, I sincerely doubt 7107bride (who was in charge of it this year, and is a terribly nice person) would purposely exclude you. It was talked about in numerous posts in the week or so before the drawing, but if you dislike us so much to not come around on the board, I imagine you'd miss those posts.
The Houston nesties are one of the nicest bunch of ladies I've had the pleasure to call my friends. They are in no way a clique. They welcome everyone with open arms, but when you come in with a chip on your shoulder, it won't go unnoticed. Besides, when we come here and read some of the racist, ignorant things that you post on a very public message board, it's probably best that you steer clear of the Houston board.
But I will say (again) that you guys are a clique. It's not just me who has made a post asking for help, info, or whathaveyou and it has gone unnoticed. Since no one bothered posting on anything I had to say, I figured it was best I not post at all.
As far as the rasicim, which is most likely directed at me for the comments I made about my former coworker. I'm in no way racist, but I will not edit what I say just because someone may be sensitive to it. This particular girl was acting like a cliche which promted my description of her ethnicity.
Kim, I really appreciated the few emails we exchanged, you we're very helpful- but, please do not call us ignorant because we did not take the time to get to know you, or anyone else on the Houston board, I tried for most the year (I've been in Houston) and got no where.
This is a public forum, but it is also anonymous. We should be able to speak our minds, and not have it held against us.
Ok, I'll first address the evite. I never received it, in my spam email or my regular email. I asked someone to double check it and they said I was there. Since I can't see the evite I have no way of knowing if my email was entered in correctly. When I STILL didn't receive anything after asking it to be double checked I let it go. I'm assuming it's not correct because I also did not get the cookie exchange evite. For the record, it's beth dot a dot craig at gmail dot com .
As for the Elster thing, I've never used it before and I'll admit to human error on my part there as I do not think anyone would intentionally leave someone out. And for the record, I was being sarcastic about taking it personally, which I know War and SO recognized.
I have found that I get a lot of useful advice and information from the rest of the Houston nesties, but it definitely is a little clique that feels hard to break in to, and I have been on the board since '06 under this and another name I no longer use. I appreciate you coming over here to try and clear things up. Hopefully this was a misunderstanding that we can all move past now. Have a great new years and enjoy your weekend!
I am also unsure where it was said that I dislike anyone...because I do not believe that sentiment has been typed by me.
And now...back to our regularly scheduled nonsense...
Miss Emily is a tiny little thing weighing in at a whopping 10 oz. She was very squirmy, but we were able to see that all the required parts are present! now for the 3D in a couple months...
Hahaha, name for today, lol. We're pretty set on Emily Catherine. Like, 99.8%. It has sentimental meaning for my family, and when she's the Attorney General it will sound elegant. We've been calling her Emily Andrew (Andrew obviously was our boy choice) for weeks since we didn't know what she was.
We had our first male client today! He is fabulous(not referring to his orientation), lives in San Fran, & gets blowouts weekly!
I want to be his BFF.
Think I can reach 2000 by new years? Hahah, it may be impossible.
Idk why I'm obsessed with this number thing, no one ever said bigger was better.
Are you heading there or mom coming here?
Maybe this is a dumb question, but is his hair long? I need to make an appt for wedding day
Yes, come see me!
