Deep (and not so deep) Thoughts-Say Anything
Re: Deep (and not so deep) Thoughts-Say Anything
for some reason this photo of elizabeth smart on her wedding day makes me happy. it's nice to know that someone who went through so much at such a young age can go on and live a happy life. Her and her new husband just look so genuinly happy!
I love this story! Congrats to her
Awwww, she looks beautiful, and he looks........15.
How awesome! Congrats to your friend on everything she's accomplished.
Oh my! Those are some big, healthy boys. Here's to getting through the next 10-14 weeks.
This makes me happy.
For twins, that's pretty spot-on, though, isn't it? I was thinking twin pregnancies measure, on average, 10 weeks ahead of singleton pregnancies.
from what I've heard/read it's usually about 6 weeks ahead but 10 weeks isn't unheard of, especially for a second pregnancy.
I can't believe you're 26 weeks already! Well, 27 now. I can't wait to meet them.
Work is stressing me out so much that I have been in the bathroom most of the morning. TMI, I realize, but I just can't continue like this long term. It is affecting my health.
Lord yes! I have never been able to call DH a nickname with a straight face. Occasionally when we're joking around I'll call him Gar-bear, but I could never bring myself to call him a nickname in public.
I could have sworn you called him something.... what was it? Oh I know! Don't you refer to him as the hot sauce on your burrito???
HAHA! I could never come up with something that clever. I'll leave the clever nicknames to your FB friends, boo.
That's because you aren't down with the G Code and the dizzle 425 for life!
What is going on?
Horrible, abusive client, no support from upper management. I can't sleep, I can't eat and I pretty sure my hair is falling out.
That seriously blows.
That is terrible. Any chance of getting transferred to a new client?
Ditto. That's awful. I hope it gets better soon!
I am so sorry. I hope it gets better soon!
It seems like I read a discussion about this recently on the Working Moms board, you might go over there and ask if anyone has advice. I'm sorry, that sucks. I wouldn't want to take it either. That's the one thing that makes me ok with taking a paycut to stay here-- at least I don't ever have to work late or take work home.
Thanks. I am talking with my line manager this afternoon. Resume is also polished up. Add in the guilt that I would be screwing my team if I jumped ship...I would actually feel less guilty leaving the company than just leaving the team.
If you are good at the job you do, and are honest with them about not being able to commit more time, it wouldn't make sense for them to get rid of you. Just let your boss know that your responsibilities to your family will not allow you to take on more hours, and that you're happy where you are... but you are flattered that they'd consider you for management/sales.
As for the seminar/race conflict, that's up to you. If the seminar is really important, I would eat the race fee and hotel. If you feel open enough with your boss, mention the amount you'll be forfeiting if you go to the seminar. A week's notice is pretty doggone short notice.

I hope things get better odear. That sounds awful.
We had one person on our team go out last week on a mental health break and if the crap that's going on here keeps up I might be next. It's getting pretty ridiculous.
I'm so sorry. Hugs.
