Can I have some background on Sisugal?

I get the need for sourcing here. It's a staple of this site that helps substantiate and perpetuate discussion.
I do not, however, get why every single thing Sis posts receives the immediate "PI!" or "Oh well, we can't talk about your theory since it isn't sourced." Especially based on the ditto/tritto/quadtwatto posts containing anecdotes, which somehow prove any multitude of points, when all they do in fact prove is that people have their own lives and experiences.
Yes, sources would be beneficial to her posts here. But I think the fact MrD noticed some general animosity aimed her way just might speak to something larger than a simple lack of sourcing. And I really really hate that one of our strongest conservatives doesn't wish to insert herself into political discussion on here anymore. (JulieFe)

Never thought I was that interesting to rate 4 pages!

I agree with this, but I can understnad the frustration on the part of others. Years ago I remember posting that I loved that she could post something and not get caught up in the back and forth. She just moved on. OTOH, I have to remind myslef when it's time to stop posting and move on.
I think she sees the topic, posts her thought and moves on. The one time I remember Sisu really hanging around to participate in a thread was in a post about Juan Williams, NABJ and NPR.
ETA: And she got bashed in that thread, with me being one of the bashers so I can see her deciding not to get too vested in conversations on this board.
I don't think there's an immediate pi response, either. A lot of times she's just ignored.
I'm sincerely bemused at her posts, but I think the comments in the Trayvon thread edged into racist territory which is going to provoke a bigger response.

I think you're both right. It's squicky and she doesn't give a crap. I was a bit concerned when I saw the thread title. It's good to see that many have written positive things about her though.
And I just have to say that I hate the word squicky.
This is why I transcended to the word "goo."
It's better than "moist".
