Re: Thursday Randoms
We traded in my sedan for a SUV/crossover with a 3rd row last week, which means that I'm driving our usual 'family car,' a crossover that Husband typically drove, as my everyday car. Now, my husband is meticulously clean, but of the variety where everything appears spotless as long as you don't open any closet doors.
Every time I open the trunk, the glove compartment, even the little slidey thing that covers the cup holders, toys, receipts, and other random crap (i.e. trash) falls out. It's driving me insane, but I've found at least $10 among the receipts so far.
My kids have given me barely any opportunity to sleep this week. DH acts surprised that I'm a little snappish and yelly. He tried helping get the baby down last night but she did nothing but cry until I took care of it. I am beyond acknowledging feeling tired; I just don't have brain capacity to function well at this point.
Izzy and Baby A ~ Adorable Punks
@MrsC7 - just out of curiousity, how heavy is the 2-ft tall coin pirate?
@cnthrdlywt2bwZ - Congrats on your promotion! That's awesome!
I'm planning on taking like a 3 hour lunch today to go shopping. If I have to be at work on my birthday next week I want to have a cute outfit on.
In the meantime, you're just going to lay on the couch and moan and do absolutely nothing because the world stops when you are sick, right?
:P

I have 39 more days until the baby is due. I feel like I should be more panicked because nothing is ready.
Also, this is more of a confession, and it's long, so feel free to skip over my vent, which probably portrays me as a heartless bitch.
I'm not really involved in my father's side of the family at all because they're so dysfunctional. My half-sister on my father's side got pregnant at 19 and has had non-stop drama since then. In November they broke up for good, he moved out...she started telling everyone that he was abusive and he was secretly a terrible person and all this crap. I have a hard time believing this, and wasn't quiet about my skepticism. This turned me into a total bitch and my family was appalled that I wasn't more supportive of what my sister went through. My sister is a born victim, which annoys me to no end. ANYWAY, fast forward to January, and she confesses that she actually married the guy in August at the courts, and now she wants my dad to pay for her divorce. My dad agrees, as long as she doesn't change her mind, so he puts it on her to make the appointment with the lawyer, yadda yadda.
Fast forward again to the other night. I get a call at 3am from another sister on my dad's side (there are 5 of us, no joke). She's sobbing hysterically and tells me that baby-daddy is dead. He got hit by a car and it's so tragic. Now, I agree that anyone dying at 22 is a terrible thing. His whole life was ahead of him, and who knows how he would've turned out. What KILLS me is my dad's entire family saying that they're heartbroken over this loss. These are the same people that were bad-mouthing him a few weeks ago and fluttering around my sister like she was a combat survivor, and now they have nothing but nice things to say about him. I can't pretend to be broken up over this news. I'm sorry for my niece, who won't have a dad, and I'm sorry for his family, because I can't imagine what it's like to lose a son....but I'm not even remotely sorry for my sister who is not a widow at 22, especially after so adamantly saying she wanted a divorce.
::end rant::

My sweet babies:

My work was closed on Tuesday and Wednesday because of snow. On Tuesday afternoon I made oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and DH and I attacked them/ This morning only 3 were left. Why do I do this to myself?! I feel like a cow today.
