Re: Come on in, ladies
Hi everyone!
Lurkers freak me out. I wonder how many lurkers played our vlogs. Ick.
I love Sharpies. I have a neon green one that I use a lot at my desk.
Yeah that is ridiculous... I feel like they should introduce themselves or something, I mean, 1000+ is cray cray
I think of a reg as someone who is around regularly. Hah!
Like someone who gets to know everyday posters, posts everyday themselves, etc.
Hi CCF, sorry your CW bailed. Manis are fabulous!
Are you feeling better, Fezz? I've been fighting the colds that everyone has around me (I've already been sick twice since September) but I feel like it's so inevitable, especially with the kids hugging me all the time right after I see them sneeze all over their hands haha.
I thought I actually managed to get all of my grocery shopping done in one trip. I was wrong.
H forgot to tell me he ate the last can of black beans, so the corn and black bean empanadas will be bean-less. They do have ground beef, though. My dough is resting, and I am starving.

Yes, slowly! Thank you for asking. I get colds from my 3 yo niece, so I know the feeling.
I guess what I don't get about view count is that everytime I refresh the main page, the view count goes up by dozens. I just guess I find it hard to believe that every second we get 2 more (different) people who read the thread.
ETA: Also, I find it hard to believe that as the thread grows and grows in length (put not in posters) that the view count skyrockets. Maybe I am just too logical about this when really it isn't logical, haha.
Still sounds yum, Special.
Ha, it's cute when they're three. I used to work with toddlers and I was sick 24.7 but with much more serious stuff than the common cold. Those adorable little critters were carriers of all kinds of viruses. Now that I'm with middle schoolers, at least when they get me sick, it's just of the coughing and sneezing variety. Glad you're on the mend. It's hard not being able to take the meds you're used to. That drove my friend crazy when she was pregnant because she was still working with us at school, so she'd catch something from the students, and couldn't take medicine.
Yeah I couldn't imagine working with kids while being pregnant.
Hi again all.
I also believe there are lots of lurkers, but I don't know that this thread is fascinating enough to inspire over a thousand...
I know when I lurked, I mostly stayed out of the nice chat threads and only read the threads where someone got butthurt...
(Also, Kalpi- earlier you asked what I wanted to be called- Midge christened me Muni a few weeks ago!)
Muni works for me
Yeah, I never read chat threads for the short time that I lurked either.
Mmmm the mac and cheese and cream of spinach I'm eating are so. good. Making me feel better that I'll be cooking A LOT shortly.
WAIT A MINUTE... Don't you ladies always suggest that people coming on the boards lurk for a while before they post????
Yet there's a gross feeling about lurkers... Can't have it both ways.
Just keep telling yourself that
Nice job, Detective. Relax. I've actually never given anyone that advice. The thought of so many people reading what we all say to each other in conversation is inherently creepy. That doesn't mean that everyone didn't start that way at some point. It is what it is.
I get what you're saying but when I read threads of people that haven't posted before or whatever they're usually met with "you should lurk around the boards for a while before you dive in and post" I was trying to generalize it, your post just happened to be the one that I used.
Anyway my sig works over here on the nest for some reason but not on the knot???
