  • Love telling people that I don't in fact want to buy their copy of a really famous nineteenth century portrait.  A) I'm not an antiques dealer B) that image hangs in the National Portrait Gallery C) it's called ebay have at it.

My big boy is bounding towards 3! Hoping to add a sibling. image Hipster dog is not impressed.

i am a big fat wussy and will never do something like the warrior dash because i do not even remotely in any way want to trudge through nasty mud that other sweaty people have been trudging through.

i'm not even the kind of person who gets icked out by germs in general.  it's just the mud that grosses me out...lol.  also, i can handle having sweat in places, but the thought of having muddy grody sweat in places, and having to keep going, makes me want to hurl.  it's the same reason i was too chicken to ever go to any bonfire activities after the first time my clothes got dirty-- you were supposed to wear the same clothes every time and never wash them.  "Grodes" was what we called them.  NO!

i still have my grodes. mud wrestling is fun.....mud running on the other hand doesn't sound enjoyable. i think it's just the "run" part. i'm with kjr - running is like torture

vista is the greatest stroller ever. We have the g light for Addie and I love it. my only question (which I bought it anyway but emailed them to ask) is what year it is. I don't think they'd sell one as old as the 2009 but the 2010 is where big changes came in (it sits completely upright in one position instead of slightly reclined all the time). I had a discussion with an uppababy rep the other day about the 2012 model, not many changes. Go for it!!! they need to come out with a double but don't plan to for a couple years.

L has the "bitich, please" thing down. She pairs it with a sugary sweet smile and, when we're "lucky," a flying electronic.

DH and I frequently comment on what we think C would say if he had a better vocabulary.  We have to do this away from him, because it usually includes words that I don't want him to say at school.

This is us too. Evan has known forever that he isn't allowed to touch DH's fancy all-in-one tv remote. Now he goes to touch it with one finger while looking at us. He keeps throwing the fan remote and I swear it won't work by the end of the year.

Yep, DH thought he was playing it safe last night and said that he was POed at someone at work. Evan immediately said "P. O., P. O., P. O.!" Nice.

  • So, I have this creepy neighbor.  I don't even know where to start with the whole situation.

She is really racist and just ignorant.  She is constantly talking about keeping our neighborhood as "white as we can" and stuff like that.  I try to avoid her because it is just too much and too offensive.

When she does talk to me it is always way way way TMI.  A few weeks ago I got a whole 20 minute update on an oozing wound on her butt that may or may not have been caused by an ant bite.

Over the weekend she stopped me outside to tell me she had been battling diarrhea.  She went into to painfully disgusting detail about it.  And even told me that it was so bad that she just slept in an adult diaper the night before.  Ick!

I am feeling a little traumatized by the whole thing.

Oh, and, yes, Ering is a crazy neighbor of mine, but she is not the crazy diarrhea neighbor.

  • so Addie's ballet teacher for some reason rubs me the wrong way. So everytime she says something dumb (which is often) I mock her in my head constantly. I fight myself not to point it out to others, (like when she said she's so ADD she has to have everything all straight and organized all the time). And it really pisses me off that she said they'd do ballet for the recital (they never let the little ones do ballet) and changed it to a tap routine to the song sea cruise. I hate that song. and the costume is stupid. It actually makes me angry to think about it.

  • Tori made her teacher cry yesterday.

They have the option of bringing a dollar and buying breakfast so we usually keep a couple of dollar bills laying on the bar.  Yesterday she said that her teacher's door was broken on her car and she wanted to give her the $2 to get it fixed.  She would not be dissuaded so we let her take the money to school for Ms. Karla.

When DH picked Tori up Ms. Karla said she needed to speak with him.  She told him that on the way to work that morning she realized she had left her purse at home.  Then her low fuel light came on and she had no idea how she was going to make it home after work.  She lives in South Houston and works in Baytown.  She said that she thought that if she only had a couple of bucks she could get enough gas to get her little car back home.

So when Tori went to give her the two dollar bills from that morning all she could do was cry.  Which of course kind of scared Tori, but Ms. Karla got her to understand that she wasn't upset.

It's times like these that make you forget all the frustrating moments when you want to pull your hair out.
