Approximately 23 posts in reference to the entire incident, and not all of them "were at your expense". I counted.
And with that, I'm done. You're dragging something out that was left behind 3 SA pages ago and I'm through being a part of your crusade to defend something that a NUMBER of nesties agreed didn't even need defending, including Black Girl #2. (which as an aside, you REALLY don't see how labeling people as White Girl #_ and Black Girl #_ can be offensive???)
I'm pretty sure I'm not alone when I ask you to please STFU about this whole thing.
I don't have a problem at ALL with someone talking directly to me and saying they disagree with me. I have a problem with individuals who are unwilling or incapable of exploring ideas with me on issues with which we disagree so instead resort to passive agressive slams. I have a problem with people who cannot discuss an issue and can only resort to attacking a person.
You guys wonder why the board is so slow anymore? Ever bothered to consider it is because of this bandwagon mentality? God forbid someone say something and just be wrong (because there is anyone other than Jesus [for those who believe in him] who has ever walked this world without fault), have an opinion that runs contrary to the group think, etc. If someone does commit this great sin she had better prepare to read a page or 2 of lame jokes at her expense in the say anything thread and many other threads.

Alex just asked me what the deal is with this superbowl thing. "Are they actually playing in a big bowl??"
I have no motivation to do anything today. We have Dave Ramsey class in a couple of hours...don't want to go. SuperBowl festivities...don't even care if we turn the game teeth. All my organizing I wanted to do...no desire. A crap ton of work I was going to do this weekend...yeah, I want to sleep. Blah.
I have felt this way all weekend too. If DH weren't moving to Singapore in 2 weeks there's no way I would be leaving the house for the game.
I find this to be a situation where you need to play the VETO card. Absolutely no question.
P.s. I think the reason the boards slower these days is that people are busier. Let's face it, lots of babies have come into the world, lots of people have changed jobs... I know I've gotten a hell of a lot busier and encountered some life issues that aren't conducive to hanging out on a message board. I don't think we can assume it's because a lot of us dislike non-smart pronunciation.

Exactly. I know I'm practically non-existent these days, but our whole moving situation really has - and continues to - taken a huge bite out of my free time for stuff like this, along with other life issues. I hope life slows down a little someday soon so I do have a little more time to do something as "meaningless" as hang out on a message board.
Yep. I left dressed for spring this morning, with no time to change.

My new job is a heck of a lot busier than my past ones. I have time, yes. But not near as much. And with C at the age he's at, when I have free time I'm usually doing something with/for him. Editing photos (if I ever take any!), couponing, meal planning, etc.
I am starting to wonder if this blech feeling lately is because my doc recently changed my thyroid dose. I have been so tired lately - to the point I called DH on the way home and told him I was tempted to pull over and take a nap because I couldn't keep my eyes open. I got nine hours of sleep last night and I was so tempted to call in today so I could just stay home and sleep. Here's to hoping my doctor will have me in for a re-check this week. Mama is beat.
I have felt that way for several days too. Hopefully it's just something in the air (or something a doctor can easily fix) & we'll both be feeling better soon.

You will love it! We went there 2 summers ago for a week. It's gorgeous, quiet and close to Pensacola and Gulf Shores if you want to do anything special.

I just got you confused with Kimmer for a second...then I remembered she is finally free of her loathing for Comcast.
LOL I am. For now. DH doesn't like the channels our new cable company offers, and we're paying almost as much as we did for Comcast with less channels. Eventually I think we'll go groveling back. Blech.
CMK- I feel your pain, I really do. My hatred for Comcast runs long and deep and with the passion of one thousand fiery suns.
At last count, they were charing us $190 a month...and had been increasing it monthly by $8-10! So I call them to try and get it reduced and the idiot c/s rep says the only way to lower it is to get the "triple play" (but we don't need phone)....which would be $109 per month for the first year, and $129 per month for the second year. I ask her if we can do the promo without ever getting the phone portion activated, btu she says no, we would have to get it activated. But we don't need the phone! It makes no sense to me.
Then she tries to suggest we go down to slower internet speed to save $10 a month. Ugh, seriously?!
It just sucks because Uverse isn't offered in our particular area, so we are stuck unless we go with DirectTV or something.
Ugh, no wonder you detest them so!
