  • Going off of yours, I also feel bad about my job situation because it took me FOREVER to find a job and now that I have this one it kinda blows. Everybody is expected to be an occlumens and everyone in my office keeps getting more and more stuff piled on but they act like our workload is light so they throw more stuff on there and then bitch when we prioritize and don't get the least important stuff done ASAP.

Then they go an implement things and don't tell you beforehand and then get upset that we don't put changes into place or whatever because we didn't know about it. It's making me bitchy and I hate it.

Thank god it's almost the weekend.

  • Funky- I love that you used occulmency as an everyday term!

It's Friday again. We had a late, not-so-great night with the kids last night and DH was kind of losing it. I hate that he gets more irritated than I do, especially when the issues seem comparatively minor. We're both justified in how we feel about our new situation but I'm annoyed that he's home all day again. I don't feel like talking much, at least for a couple of hours.

That all said, I'm going back to work soon and it's going to be a nightmare.

  • I'm irrationally annoyed about my breakfast plans tomorrow.  We have friends in town and they want to go to breakfast in the morning with us  and another couple at this local place (Parker's - Booney will know what I'm talking about) that is super popular.  That's totally fine with me, but the trick is, you have to get there early. If you go later than 8, you are generally waiting for hours if you have more than 2 people.  To top it off, there are 6 adults and 4 kids.  So waiting for a table for 10 is a good wait, even at 8AM.  But they say it's too hard to get there for 8, can we do 9.  Normally? No problem.  But I have no interest in waiting for 2 hours for a table for breakfast.

I realize I'm complaining about breakfast.  I wanted to suggest just going somewhere else, but they are dead set on this place.  Now I'm not looking forward to it.  Which sucks, because there is good reason for the wait, the place is awesome and delicious.

  • I slept through my alarm this morning, which I have no clue when the last time that even happened, and instead of trying to get ready for work, I'm laying in bed on my phone. I even texted my boss to say I am going to be late today. I think I just DGAF about work anymore this week.

  • @SnSn322 I think your feelings about breakfast are completely justified. Sounds like the potential for 4 hangry children on a Saturday morning and I would be cranky too especially if I told everyone this would happen and then everyone starts complaining about being there forever. I'm sorry :(

I think you should come with your backup place in mind, so when you all ask how long the wait is, you can graciously suggest the backup.  Or, you can bring snacks/stop for coffee.  There's no way I could wait that long without eating something for breakfast.  Might as well treat it like you are getting together for brunch, if you have to wait until 11ish at the place.

  • @Snshne322 This is the reason I haven't been to Parker's in years.  I HATE waiting to eat.  And in the morning I refuse to wait 2 hours for coffee.  If they expect me to wait for two hours I expect them to hand me a mug and an entire pot of coffee to tide me over.

  • I didn't tell DH for a day when I got my BPF. I tested early and was in such shock that it came back positive that I hid it for a day while I let the news sink in. I ended up telling one of my friends first via text message.

  • @Lauren620 I think that's it too.  Everyone says it's OK until it actually happens.  Then you have hangry children who don't have any where to play.  The oldest is 3.  Then kids start getting tired and cranky and LOUD.  No thanks, not interested.

  • So sometimes when my H wakes up in the middle of the night I think he tries to be cute and cuddle with me. The problem is because he is so much bigger than me his idea of cuddling is to wrap me up like a teddy bear. While that is cute before I'm asleep once I'm out I don't want to be woken up to having him wrapping his arms around me. Plus once he does that I can't actually sleep because inevitably one of his arms is under me somewhere (side, neck, back) and it's too uncomfortable. So then I lie there away playing the "how long do I need to stay like this to make him happy before I can just roll away" game :P

  • Mh is currently signing the paperwork to move off this god forsaken island! Its been darn close to 5 years here but feels like a lifetime. Granted we are moving to another island but at least this one is near civilization. My confession part is that we move in one month and he will be away for a good chunk of that time. So I am letting him do the majority of whatever packing we do this week before he leaves, becauseI will be responsible for all other packing, plus looking after Alex and Remy. Don't get me wrong I am looking forward to the move just not allof the extra work.
  • It's a coworkers birthday, and I'm having to physically restrain myself from gorging on Cuban bread and croquettas.
