Say It Again...Say Anything.
Re: Say It Again...Say Anything.
Everyone needs a puppy
That's awesome!
Congrats harmony on the 8 lb weight loss. that's great!
I'm sorry you are feeling left out. You too, jax. When I get home, can we go to the tea house for lunch?
Jax... Cancer blows big hairy monkey balls! I wish your mom health in 2012 and a wonderful recovery!
We got our dog (she was just past the puppy stage) after we'd been TTC for about a year, I called her my consolation prize. I got pregnant shortly thereafter and had Cooper a year-minus-a-week after the day we got her. She is the bestest dog in the whole wide world. She's so sweet with Cooper and he adores her. So, uh, if we're supposed to be talking you out of getting a puppy, I apologize.
Very nice!!! So proud of you!
winning!
I need to vent. Or throw myself a pity party.
My parents, sister, BIL, niece and nephew are at Disney World right now. And I'm at home with 2 seriously grumpy kids. Of course I understand why we couldn't go, and I really DON'T want to be there with a baby, but I'm still bummed. I love Disney World.
DD is having a rough week. DH was home all last week and they spent a lot of time together. Now he's back at work, her cousins/best friends are out of town, and she's stuck here with me and DS. She keeps crying for Daaaaaaddddyy. The kids are on completely different nap schedules so I feel like we're sort of stuck at home right now - because I don't want to take a tired baby or a tired 3-year-old to the grocery store. I love my children more than anything but DD is really testing my patience today. She ran over DS with her tricycle while I was getting lunch ready. Her excuse? "He was crawling right there and I needed to go that way so I went over him."
I stopped BF a week or 2 ago and AF just came back for the first time since DS was born. TMI, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to bleed to death. I need wine. And a nap.
this
I cry everytime! Even DH was wiping at his eyes last night.
Who knew that this woudl be the year we woudl have problems with the kids and trees. I would have thought we were way past this. On Monday the girls took all the ornaments off the tree and hid them under the tree skirt. Just now Abby brought me an ornament and told me another one was broken. I just told them if they break one more ornament or I catch them touching the tree I will take it down.
Crazy Christmas Kids!
That is so funny!! The kids have been busy with our tree also. Thankfully the "good" ornaments are too high for them to see them. Pine cones and jingle bells are the way to go...lol.
I had to stop and think a second on that to see if that had any effect but we watched that the night of the incident and not before. Brats.
Crazy Christmas Kids!
Oh Jax, I'm sorry. We found out my mom's cancer (endometrial that metasticized to her lung) is back after being in remission for 2 years the week before thanksgiving. At this time they are not going to do Chemo, they will try an experimental hormone treatment and follow with some radiation instead. Depending on those results, she may just have to suck it up and go through chemo again, though I remember how awful it was the first couple times and can understand why she is so resistant now.
You have every right to ask your family to help you out...you are human, and despite your awesome superpowers, sometimes you just need a little help. I'm sending prayers to you and your mom right now, and hope that her treatment gets easier on her. It is so hard to watch your mother go through something so awful. Remember, you are doing the best you absolutely can, and that is enough. Your mom is so grateful for you.
Why are you getting them removed if you will be moving soon? Is it worth it as a selling poing?
adopt an older dog in a foster home that doesn't need to be potty trained
When we bought the house the appraisal was marked down significantly because of all the trees & the curb appeal was just bad. House sat of the market for over 2 years before we bought it And we paid less than what the prior owners purchased it for 14 years ago.
We're not planning on selling though. We're going to rent it out & then when we move back to Houston we'll probably return to this house.
I tend to agree, but these are puppies from a dog that my vet found when she was pregnant (chained.to.a.fence). He took her in, took care of her health issues and had to deliver the puppies via c-section. They are ridiculously cute.

Dear Santa,
That little spotted puppy would just fit in my stocking... So CUTE!!
Seriously though, why do you torture me with cute puppy pictures?? I can *not* have anything else that eats or poops in my house, I can barely keep up with what I have.
You guys are killing me.
DH says no doggies for the foreseeable future.
omg. my sister is going to help my mom tonight for me. i am so glad i asked her!!!
also, i would totally have another dog if not for the sensibility of my husband. i'd probably have like 4 more cats, a bunny, a pygmy horse, a couple of mini-goats...
my photography blog
Yay for help!
I have a bunny on my Christmas list. LOL He said no dogs, but he didn't say no animals at all.
I was this close yesterday, but they are ultimately going to end up being bigger than I really should have. They are guessing the puppies will end up close to the mom's size, 42 pounds, I have a maximum lift weight of 45 pounds, because of my stimulator, and I'd like to be able to lift/transport the dog in case of emergency. I also have to worry about the size in case my foot get stepped on by the dog. Last week I was stepped on by a friend's Collie and was out of commission for 2 days. Stupid foot.
I really need one that will be about 25 pounds max. It's really hard to resist their puppy faces. I sent their info onto some friends that have been talking about getting a dog. I'm sure it won't take long to find them good homes. My mind is made up though, we will have a dog by the end of the month.
I am so overwhelmed by the generosity of my coworkers. I organize our Holiday Giving project and the last two years we've done Depelchin. One of our newer, younger employees wanted to match what everyone gave. So in total, I have collected $1700. We are going to be able to adopt 10 kids and still have leftover to supply general gifts/wrap/etc.
I'm finally in the spirit and am so excited to go shopping for these kids this weekend!
A case of 5-hour energy drinks for after the twins get here.
Give him the gift of making Totino's pizza rolls for him once a month for a year. You know he'd love that.
everytime I ask DH what he thinks about a name for the babies he says, it's ok, but what about buttcheese or snergel or some other crazy suggestion (including genetalia for a girl). he cracks himself up everytime.
I have a feeling this won't change when we know the sexes.
That's so awesome!
