I've had the same phone number for 10 years and am a little sad to see it go... but it will be nice not to have crazy internet people calling me about recipes.
That is sad.
But how does someone call about a recipe? "Hi, I'm a crazy internet stalker and I have your phone number. Do you think I can use all sausage in the jambalaya or do I have to use chicken too?" Before the dial your number do they not realize how insane they are??

Oh! You mean most normal people don't call random strangers whose blogs they read on the internet? ***slowly hangs up phone***
My big boy is bounding towards 3! Hoping to add a sibling.

LOL I've had the same number for 10 years too, it's one digit off from Thai Cottage on Richmond, and apparently they misprinted their number on menus or something years ago. I still get the occasional phone call "Hi, I'd like one order of pad thai, one ginger chicken and a green curry for pick up" to which I respond "Mmmmmm, me too, but you have the wrong number" and then all I can think about for the rest of the day is how freaking good that sounds.
Recently, on the Rod Ryan show, they called a girl that lives in some other state, her number is in area code 712, but everything else is the same as the radio show's contest/call in line. So every day, starting at 6am, she gets lots of miss dials of people trying to call in for various things. Not sure why she still hasnt gotten a new number.

You'd probably be surprised at the total crazycakes stuff I get... emails, the occasional phone call, wall posts, comments. This one was ticked because she didn't follow directions and her cake turned out gray and like cornbread.

Perhaps it was an advance serving of karma.
I don't see how you don't see how that is *CLEARLY* your fault.
everyone really loved them-- i think a lot of people didn't open them right away (the adults never do, we just watch the kids open gifts). i had to tell my mom to open them...lol. it was cool, those that had opened them would look around to see if the others had opened their yet, and kind of prod them to open them... and watch for reactions.
everyone was smiley/teary and thanked me. i'm so glad i did it. it was wonderful to see everyone smile at each new picture : )
They were gorgeous photos. I even showed them to DH who immediately said, "Wow, I wish someone had done that for us." I LOVE gifts that really touch the heart.

that would be a really wonderful thing to do for families. i don't know how i'd know what the important things were, though. i am so, so so glad i did it though. i know it put me behind with some of my other clients, but i have absolutely no regrets there. it was like a big warm hug from my grandparents.
someone on the 5/12 board asked about curing a never ending yeast infection. Someone suggested taking a clove of garlic, poking 10 holes in it and planting it in your lady garden.
I would like to know who discovered this and how. It sounds smelly and burny.
I realized this week that I'm dreading spending the holidays with my family. Immediate family, fine. Extended family - no. I have several douchy cousins that for years have always made stupid comments toward the girls because we're not perfect size 2s without an ounce of fat. I used to just ignore it, but now it bothers me. I know I need to lose weight, and I could come up with a million excuses but cut me some slack for being a working mom. Not a single 25/30 male year old who does nothing but work and go to the gym because you have nothing to go home to. And it isn't like they are Mr. America body-builders either. If we're throwing stones, I could easily toss a few back.
Last year one of them made a seriously douchebag comment to me as I was helping clean the kitchen. He said something snippy about me eating again and being fat and I told him to off. In the kitchen, around family, on Christmas Day. And things between us aren't the same. I'm sad about our relationship, but I don't regret telling him off. What they do is rude and uncalled for and frankly, I'm freaking over it. But they won't change. I'll spend Christmas Eve & Christmas Day around them hearing them comment to our faces and behind our backs.
If I'm MIA next week, assume I lost it and ran after one of them with a kitchen knife.

that is seriously douchy. I'd throw stones right back at them, but I'd still feel like sh!t from their comments. I would also never look at you and think, she needs to lose some weight, but that's beside the point. No wonder they are single.

Point me to the knives, I'll go after them for you. Seriously, after the week I'm having if anyone so much as looks at me funny I may FLIP THE F OUT.
I am sick, my kid is sick, I am short on child care this week, not at ALL ready for Christmas and I HAVE to be at work because we are still indexing this %$&#*@^ book. We are nearly a month past our publisher's deadline (granted they gave us 2 weeks to index a 600 page reference work when we told them repeatedly that we need 6 weeks) AND I have the world's most annoying researcher in my office. She is a nice lady and she's apparently a good historian (I don't know I haven't read any of her work) but OMG STOP TALKING!
My big boy is bounding towards 3! Hoping to add a sibling.

Ditto this exactly. How rude.
On an unrelated note, I wish my kids would understand now how glorious a nap can be. One day they're going to pray to the heavens that someone would force them to lay down for an hour and I hope when that day comes, they apologize to me for fighting this hard.
Kimmer I was a terrible, terrible, terrible napper. I haven't thought to say I'm sorry, but my mom frequently points and laughs if C has one off day and doesn't sleep. She reminds me of how bad I was.

My boy has mono. DH didn't tell me they were running tests and to be expecting a call from the doc. Nothing like getting a voicemail saying to call the doc to discuss test results. I was a hot mess. HOT FREAKING MESS until they called back. So he has mono. Fantastic.
Also, DH won't shut the eff up. He has been talking non-effing-stop for a solid hour. I want to punch his face in right now.

Right now both of my kids are crying like I am beating them with spiked chains. All I want them to do is be quiet and rest for 15 min so I can take a shower and not worry that the neighbor is going to call CPS.
why is it only unattractive people who go on maury to find out who the daddy is? I wonder which comes first, the ugliness or the "who's daddy lifestyle?"

Our pastor referenced Talladega Nights Sunday at church. He threw in the "8 pound 6 ounce baby Jesus" right in the sermon. I died laughing.

A week or two max. It won't smell too bad, but if that thing cracks weeks later look out for the rancid smell
probably forever, because how adorable is that?!?!?

ImFUN? What did I miss? Happy to contribute to something for her, shes always so supportive of everyone else!
According to her post on FB this morning, her sister passed away yesterday.
If no one else has started collecting yet, then I will.
ETA: I just sent out an e-mail about it. I C&P'd an old nestie distribution I had, so if I missed you, then just let me know & I'll send you the info.
