Say It Again...Say Anything.
Re: Say It Again...Say Anything.
i'm wearing a trenchcoat cape today similar to this one......i feel like i should have a huge magnifying glass and a pipe
I agree! And don't bother with the Kroger brand. Ew.
My SILs boyfriend broke up with her and I feel horribly bad for her.
On a good note, DH got a raise today!
i wish they would make skinny versions of the holiday flavors!
This! I want flavors too but buy the fat free Coffeemate.
Crazy Christmas Kids!
*hugs*
I feel like that when I have a lot going on and feel like I'm not making any progress. I hope it gets better for you!
I just wish they had more to offer than French Vanilla in the large size. If I want something different, I have to buy the smaller size and that lasts less than a week.
me too! i like a little coffee with my creamer ;p
What is going around? I came home sick from work Monday with fever, chills, and body aches. But now DH is taking E to the doctor for a horrible cough, chest congestion, and now he says his tummy hurts.
This sucks!

Where do you guys shop? I get the hazelnut in either SF or FF in the monster size.
I agree about the holiday flavors in a skinny version though. Man I'm loving the belgian chocolate toffee nut! Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

yes. and then I take 10mg of lexapro (not saying you need that). although it hasn't hit since I've been pg so who knows what I'll do then.
how did your dad take the news?
Do you take lexapro while you're pg? I was on it and I stopped when I found out I was pg because I was imagining a baby with 5 arms and an extra toe. (so I totally do need it! lol)
We're going to be around family for the first time in four years this Thanksgiving and I'm pretty excited.
fb messaged you.
Heatwarming story of the day:
Yesterday Tori's class pet, Rudy the fish died. She was very, very upset. More upset than any of the other kids.
Her teacher went home that evening and told her husband what happened and how upset Tori was. She left to go to her night class and by the time she got back he had already gone to the pet store and bought another fish. He told her it was so she could take it to school for Tori.
Tori sure loves Ms. Karla. She tried to talk me into taking Ms. Karla to Disney World with us.
Aw, that's so sweet! How awesome that she has such a great teacher!
And her teacher has such a great husband!
That is so sweet!
Dirty shameful confession:
I like to believe I embrace diversity. However recently I have been reminded of my need to be inclusive and welcoming in both my heart/mind as well as my actions when it comes to transgendered persons.
Women who are clearly lesbians and who are kind of masculine or what some call butch - not a problem, in my circle of friends, don't think about it much.
Men who are clearly gay and who are very effeminate and sometimes called flamers - not a problem, in my circle of friends, think about it more than women only because DH is sensitive to extremely feminine guys. I find them hilariously fun though.
But we have a temp who sounds like a man going through the change to be a woman. Her voice is really husky and sounds like a teenaged boy with a cold or a woman with laryngitis.
She doesn't come out of her office a lot so I haven't even been able to get a good look at her to know if she is just a woman with a husky voice or truly a transgendered person.
It's none of my business either way, so I haven't tried hard to look and she is on a totally different team and only here sporadically so I don't have a reason to go introduce myself to her even if I wanted to be miss nosey mcnoseyson. But her voice grates on my nerves. I have to shut my door sometimes because her voice is like nails on chalkboard for me. And periodically I catch myself wondering if she is a transgendered person.
I think if I knew for sure it wouldn't be on my mind so much. But I feel irritated toward her and have never talked to her, so somewhere in my psyche I feel like I'm unwelcoming and that it's subconsciously about the transgendered issue since that is what I keep thinking of.
I feel like I need to go to LGBT-pride confession or something.

Michelle, from what I have read on the Nest over the years, you are the most open and accepting person I know of. Everyone has something that grates on their nerves. Sounds are something that I have a problem with and I know lots of people who get irritated when they can't place something. Maybe there is more to the pitch of the voice than you realize.
Have you read this?

Were you in public?
That is hilarious. As long as it happened while you were at home. Yikes!

no, I'd just gotten home and was unloading the car.
Sigmundsgirl - thanks for saying that. :-)
I haven't heard of the Mary Hart syndrome but I don't have seizures over her voice, thank God. My hair on my neck just stands up.
I know everyone has stuff that gets on their nerves. Heck for some people I am that "stuff." ;-) Otherwise I'd be so ashamed I wouldn't even post here. But I see it is something I could work on and it probably will come with exposure as I am around more transgendered persons over the years.
I did finally make an excuse to stand in my doorway and talk to someone so I could glance into her office and get a look at her. She is very petite but could be a petite guy living like a girl or in transition - her features are exotic. I don't even know what ethnicity she is but she has some middle eastern features. However she also speaks fluent Spanish and sort of sounds like it is her first language so she could be a Latina. I dunno. It doesn't actually matter. I just don't like the part of me that might be irritated by a gender identity issue.
They just hired someone for the role she is temping in so it will become a moot point in a couple of weeks as far as she goes anyway!
