I drastically changed my haircolor last night and one coworker just will.not.shut.up about it.  He keeps asking everyone "have you seen KrisB's hair?  Go look at KrisB's hair!"

For the love of all that is good and holy, I want to punch him in the throat.  I'm usually a nice person who gets along with everyone but he drives me fracking nuts.  I spend my days having to listen to him either slurp coffee or spit into his spit cup.  The sound of his voice makes me want to stab myself in the eye with a pencil.

Whew, that was a tyrade.  I need a drink and it's only 8:00 am.

That would be so annoying. But your hair does kind of rock Smile

I think so myself! :)  But if it makes me look too young to even legally drink I may have to add some grey.

Thanks for the support, ladies! I was a nervous wreck and had tons and tons of apprehension with this move.  Now that the decision has been made, I feel a huge weight lifted and I know it's the right move for me.

    You're going to do great!

  • There was the sweetest, prettiest kitten following us around at my bridal session yesterday.  It was HOWLING meowing the entire time : (

I could not bear to leave it there, I felt like it maybe had gotten out of someone's apartment and was lost.  It was clean, didn't have fleas, didn't look like the run of the mill strays you see around.  It came right up to me and let me hold it and rub its little belly, and was purring SO loudly.

I cannot tell you what a testament it is to my love for DH that I was able to not bring that cat home (DH would have exploded, i'm sure).

I called my next client (who i knew had some flexibility in her schedule) and asked if we could push back a little... and took the kitty to the SPCA.

*cry* omg, that kitty loved me so much. he was a gorgeous white cat with bluish purple eyes, and the tips of his ears and tail were the slightest bit of apricot.  someone please go adopt him!!!

if i didn't already have 3 cats, i might not have had the willpower...lol. for some reason i'm ok with 3.  4 cats is too many.

  • DH just threw out all of our (old, ratty and needed to be tossed) dog toys. Poor Slugger, he glared and shot death rays to DH the whole time. I'm pretty sure he hates us.

Santa will bring him fresh, brand spanking new toys to rip the stuffing out of for Christmas, but right now he's mourning his slobbery moose carcass and wishing us dead. This move is so traumatic for everyone...

  • Why is it when DH is sick it is like caring for 2 children? I really do feel badly for him and I know how he feels (I came home from work early on Monday with the same thing) but I just layed in bed until he and DS came home, then I had things I had to take care of.

I just don't understand the moaning. At least try to sleep it off so I can try to feed our toddler lunch.

He still has his blanket, which is what he plays with the most (besides that disgusting moose carcass). Most other toys are only useful for making a fluff mess for me to clean up. He's just being dramatic.

  • DH is working a wedding and texted me that he thought the groom was gonna hurl soon... he was not looking good.  As it turns out, the groom indeed hurled, and the coordinator happened to appear with a bucket for him right on cue.  Impressive!

Way to test the boundaries of "better or worse, sickness and health" mere hours after saying your vows!

  • I may have to block my teacher friends from facebook this week...sorry teachers, but it is sooooo annoying to see every 3rd status update (DH is a teacher and we have a lot of teacher friends) being about how excited they are for a whole week off, or the daily countdown to a week off, or anything related to how much they need a whole week off.  So do the rest of us, yet we don't get a whole week off (less than a month before Christmas break on top of it), so please just shut it!

Yup,  One of DH's cousins is a teacher.  Yesterday she told me "People talk about how many days teachers get off, but I haven't had a day off since Labor Day!".  Ummmm, yeah me neither.  :::Crickets:::

  • I am deeply embarrassed.  I apologize to everyone who attended on Saturday night.  I imbibed too much of the Sangria and wine.  But I thank you all for ensuring that I got home safely.   Next time.   when I reach for the sangria; slap my hand.

I got this: http://jawbone.com/up yesterday and I am loving it.

Did you use the silent alarm feature?  That is possibly the most appealing thing I have ever heard!  Waking up is rough.

Yes.  I used it this morning.  The band starts vibrating.  I set it to wake me before 5:30 and it started vibrating at 5:13.  Honestly, when I woke up, I didn't feel the "holy crap already" that I normally feel, so I am loving this feature on Day 1, but I did realize that I didn't have to get up that early since DH was taking the kids this morning, so I slept for another hour.  I think I will set it for 6 tomorrow and see how I feel when it starts to go off.

In the review, I have seen some people say the activity calibration is off, but for me, it still gets me moving.  I could sit at my desk for hours without budging, so at the reminder to get me up and moving has helped.  I've added about 500 steps this morning that I wouldn't have normally logged.

To anyone who considered getting it after all my LOVE for it...yeah...fail.  It died on Friday.  I checked the Jawbone forums and there are pages and pages of posts with people complaining that theirs crapped out as well.  We are returning it today.  I will save my $ for the Body Media gadget...not as conspicuous as a bracelet, but at least they work, right?
